I was recently speaking with a friend, who currently pitches in the Majors, about Jim Kaat.  Though a lifelong Yankee fan, I’ve been a fan of Kitty’s since the 60’s and I’ve used his ideas on pitching to teach my 3 boys, 1 of whom is currently pitching in high school.  Turns out my friend has also been a longtime fan of Kitty and rattled off a series of stats that made my head spin.  Which then lead to the question—‘why is Jim Kaat not in the Hall of Fame?’
